Before developing the assets, I conducted extensive research on optimized and functional methods for integrating 3D into the game's 2D style. In the end, I created an entire workflow in direct communication with the illustrators so that 3D and 2D would work side by side—from the concept with the correct angle to the final application of textures on the UV. This ensured a distortion of approximately 15 degrees to both the left and right of the assets, allowing for smooth parallax with the game’s camera and broad possibilities for both texture and animation applications.
